Moreover, the French embassy and the Ministry of Defense are near Maison Giulia, while the State Council and Fatebenefratelli Hospital can be easily reached in a few minutes.

Mascherone Fountain | You can see the Mascherone Fountain if you walk down Via Giulia in the direction of the Sisto bridge, just after the French consulate, a few meters from Maison Giulia. The fountain was commissioned by the Farnese family in the seventeenth century. It has poured water as well as good wine, during the celebrations for the election the new Grand Master of Malta in 1720. If you look closely, you will notice how its shape has inspired the logo of our guesthouse.

How to reach us

From the International Fiumicino airport | Take train line FR1 and get off at Trastevere. Continue 150 meters on foot to metro line 8 (Piazza Venezia direction, departing every 4 minutes). After 7 stops, get off at Arenula / Ministero della Giustizia and continue on foot for 550 meters up to Via Giulia 189 a.

From Ciampino Airport | Take the SITBus shuttle for Roma Termini (30 minutes travel time and leaves every 30 minutes) or the Terravision Airport Shuttle bus to Rome Termini. From here continue as described in the ‘By train’ section.

Alternatively, shuttle service is available on request, from and to the airports, 1 to 4 people, one way total price from 50 euro without surprise.

By train | From the Termini Station, take bus line 64 (in the Piazza Stazione San Pietro direction, leaving every 6 minutes), get off after 9 stops at Corso Vittorio Emanuele / S. Andrea della Valle and continue for 450 meters up to Via Giulia, 189 a. Taxi service is available.

By car | From the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) follow the indications for Ospedale Generale Santo Spirito. Once in the vicinity, from Piazza delle Rovere, turn right into Lungotevere Gianicolense, after 200 m turn left on to the bridge that crosses the Tevere. Continue straight until you come to Via Giulia, turn right and continue for 400 m up to number 189 a.
